Cheryl Warfield, a professional opera singer with credits from Broadway to the Chicago Lyric and beyond has been a teaching artist in NYC public schools through the nonprofit organization Arts Horizons since 2000. She began producing opera concerts in 2001 out of her love for the art form and the need for performance opportunities. She strives to help people from all backgrounds and age groups understand and appreciate opera. Cheryl was a founding member and producer for Amore Opera in Manhattan, where she trained child performers for stage productions. As founder and director of MORE Opera, she has produced and performed in concert performances of Verdi’s “Ernani,” “Il trovatore,” and “Aida,” Puccini’s “Tosca” directed by Anton Coppola, and most recently, Holocaust survivor Harry Bialor’s “Masada.” Cheryl holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the Ohio State University.
