Juneteenth Jubilee 2024 is a family-friendly performance of spirituals and folk songs with an historical narrative exploring the music and cultural traditions of Juneteenth presented by MORE Opera, featuring soloists and an intergenerational chorus conducted by Dr. Patricio Molina.
In Manhattan, this project is made possible, in part, with funds from Creative Engagement, a regrant program supported by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and Howard Gilman Foundation and administered by LMCC.
In the Bronx, this project is made possible, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council.

MORE Opera presents its “Third Annual Juneteenth Jubilee,” at 1 PM on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at the James Baldwin Outdoor Learning Center (JBOLC) Farmers Market, 100 W. Mosholu Parkway S., Bronx, NY 10468 (corner of Goulden and Sedgwick Avenues). The free outdoor concert of traditional folk songs and spirituals from the Black experience and historical text to celebrate Juneteenth will be performed by MORE Opera's Community Chorus of Bronx area choristers. The Farmer’s Market is open from 11 am to 3 pm every Saturday from June 15th through October 26th.
